Japan, Stop Pretty Boy Diplomacy in the Middle East

This is just an excerpt of the most recent post in Global American Discourse.

It is widely believed among the Japanese public that Japan’s position in the Middle East is completely different from those of America and Europe. Those who argue like this, mention the following reasons. First, Japan is not involved in the clash of civilizations between Christian West and Islam Middle East. Second, Japan has been a disinterested power, and never pursued imperialist policy in this region. Third, people in the Middle East admire Japan as a non-imperialist economic giant. However, I am determined to refute such airy fairy ideas, and insist that Japan stop being a pretty boy in the Middle East. Furthermore, I advocate that Japan must be at the heart of the Western alliance to promote enlightenment and democracy, and defeat Islamic radicals who are spiritually indulged in Dark Age ideals.

Quite importantly, anti-establishment activists find their places for exile in the West, not in Japan. From there, activists fight against super villains in their counties, in order to win freedom of their fellow citizens.

Establishments also look America and Europe far more than Japan. Arab princes and millionaires spend their holidays for shopping and sightseeing in London, Paris, and New York rather than in Tokyo.

Apparently, Japan’s pretty boy diplomacy leaves extremely weak impression on both anti-establishments and establishments in the Middle East.

More importantly Japanese people must keep alert to threats posed by radical Muslims. In terms of ideology, they are natural enemy to Japan. This is because they have been defying modernization and enlightenment in Turkey and Iran. This is a serious challenge to Japanese ideology of getting out of Dark Age Asia and becoming a Western Great Power.
Japan was a role model for both nations. Kemal Ataturk and Reza Pahlavi Ⅰ made a step toward rapid Westernization as Japan had done.

San Fran Nan goes to Damascus to wear hijab?

Damascus, Syria, Tuesday April 3, 2007. AP Photo by Hussein Malla.
Here she is seen viewing the tomb of John the Baptist. Why is she smiling? It looks as though she is laughing. What happened to her skin? She's third in line for president?

President Bush has stated clearly, and accurately I might add, that she should not even have gone to Syria. They are on the State Dept.'s State Sponsor of Terrorism list. YO LAAAADY! You ain't president yet. Get out of the job of the executive office! I sometimes really, really don't like these politicians.

"Imposing the Law" in Action: Week III

Omar of Iraq The Model has given a wide-ranging overview of what he can see happening in his part of the world. He is a Dentist, therefore he travels through much of Iraq. He has been our strength and a source of information we would lack otherwise. He and his brother, Mohammed, are true treasures.

On with the news...

It is apparent that the Military and the political figures are working together (for a change). PM Maliki has stated that he will be announcing his cabinet reorganization. He realizes that his cabinet, as it stands now, is not operating properly due to divided loyalties that make it impossible to work for the greater good of all of Iraq. This is a welcomed step.

PM Maliki also held a press conference Sunday morning where he announced this:
In his press conference this morning, Maliki also announced that the Supreme Judicial Council will be issuing warrants against a number of politicians and members of parliament who have connections to militant groups that are involved in attacks on civilians and security forces.
It is about time! I hope he also throws all the Iranians (IRG) out of his government, and tells them to go back to Iran and never come back...

Both the USA and Iraqi troops are in Sadr City, and they are being met without resistence. However the Medhi (militia) 'army' is still trying to undermine this effort by spreading rumors about misconduct by US soldiers. What else is new, right? How much you wanna bet they can sell some juicy stories to the USA press? More time wasted on more unnecessary investigations...

Regardless of the reports of violence that we receive on a daily diet of negativity without context, here is a fact that is hard to ignore:
Violent incidents are still decreasing in number and impact in Baghdad. Yesterday for instance the only reported incident was the abduction of an adviser to the minister of defense by gunmen in western Baghdad. It was less than 24 hours until the security forces succeeded in freeing the abducted general and arresting 4 of his captors.
I'd say this is pretty astonishing! I'm grateful that the general was found alive and released.

There is still more to be read at Street Justice. Have a wonderful day.

Jim interviews Sgt. 1st. Class Troy Smith

This is a very good and detailed interview between Sgt. 1st Class Troy Smith, stationed in Iraq, and Jim of Thinking Right. It appears that the Soldiers over in Iraq are more optimistic about the future of that country than the politicians are back home. It is only natural.

Let's face it. Who would have the best information? A politician who hardly lifts a finger all day except to shake it at you to tell you how stupid you are, or someone who is out there risking it all so you and I may live in peace and freedom? Yeah, my feelings precisely...

Fixing our eyes on the possible

I have written an article over at DoD Daily News earlier today. It is about an Iraqi blogger, what he is hearing from the USA press, and ideas on how to be successful in Iraq. He certainly wants us to stay and finish what we started. Even though he has also lost some family and friends. I'd say that takes vision for the long run. Wouldn't you? Please go read it. Thanks, have a great day.

PS. I am going to start writing articles in their proper place. That way when you read one of my sites, you won't be bored by reading the same thing over at others. Let me know if you like this idea better or not. I won't know unless SPEAK OUT! LOL. Take care.

Terrorists in Iraq planning against our plans

Omar of Iraq the Model has written a fascinating breakdown about what is happening in Iraq since President Bush' speech. It is very eye opening. Surely it is expected, but it is still a great read.

Just one question I have, though. Why do we always have to let the enemy know our plans? Are they going to share theirs with us? Are they going to tell us where they are? Are they even going to put on uniforms?

More specifically, is this a rouse to get them to go to where we really will be? Hmm...
