Please meet Mr. Kang Chol-hwan

Mr. Kang is a North Korean defector who has been in the USA to take part in a conference on Human Rights this week.

Mr. Kang has written a book about his ordeal in a North Korean gulag for 10 years from the age of 10 years old until 20 years old. The name of his book is The Aquariums of Pyongyang: Ten Years in the North Korean Gulag. President Bush read his book, and he was interested in meeting Mr. Kang.

The two met for about 40 minutes, and Mr. Kang said President Bush made him very comfortable. I guess it can be intimidating to meet the most powerful man in the world! This is what Mr. Kang said. lol. If he only knew how kind President Bush is before hand. It is not like North Korea here! (No matter what Dickie Durbin says.)

There is a wonderful story about this in the Washington Times. You will have to register, but it is free so it's okay. lol. Thank you, and have a great day.
